The end of the season is around the corner, and Snapshot quests offer a great way to earn some valuable last-minute exp. The Mosaic quests can be tricky, so let me show you how to complete every Mosaic Snapshot quest in Fortnite.
How to complete the Mosaic Snapshot questline in Fortnite
The most challenging part about the Mosaic Snapshot quests is the timing. You can expect heavy traffic in every area if you’re trying to complete these tasks on the day they are released. Fortunately, it doesn’t matter if you die between objectives, and you can even quit matches without losing progress. Here’s how to beat every part of the quest step by step. These quests are released daily, so we’ll start with the day one tasks:
Speak with Odyssey about the Mosaic
You’ll find Odyssey wandering around Ruined Reels. The quest marker points to a building, but I always find Odyssey walking around at ground level. Simply talk to them and choose the conversation icon to complete the quest. At the time of writing, this is a major hot zone on the map, but you can land on a roof to lose your glider quickly and run to Odyssey before more players turn up. It doesn’t matter if you die, but you must activate the conversation in the chat menu to complete the task.
Dig Mosaic Caches around the Windmills
Step two of the Snapshot Quest is by far the longest. There are three Mosaic Caches in the ground near several windmills. You can see the location of each windmill on the map above.
As with step one, expect resistance around each windmill, although you can try to glide to further windmills for an easier time.
The Mosaic Caches are always near the base of the windmill and faintly glow (pictured above). As you start with your pickaxe in hand, you can land right on these caches and dig them up to complete the task. You don’t need to pick anything up, and you can split this step across multiple games.
Dig Mosaic Caches around the Cemetary
This step is much faster as every cache is in the same cemetery, north of Ruined Reels. Like before, each one glows, making the dig sites easy to spot. Two are in the main graveyard, and one is in the smaller area on the lower floor (pictured above)
How to Investigate and Catalog the Mosaic Emblem in Fortnite
The final step can be confusing as the quest’s marker is quite far from the objective. All you need to do is enter the building in the middle of the cemetery, and you’ll find the Mosaic Emblem on the ground (pictured above). Once you pick it up, you’ll complete the day one Mosaic Snapshot Questline.
Mosaic Snapshot Quests: Day 2
The Day 2 quests are functionally identical to Day 1 but with a few changes, including different locations.
Ask Odyssey about The Mosaic Findings
As with day one, you must speak to Odyssey in Ruined Reels. You’ll find her in the same place as before, wandering around at ground level. If you’re dropping with other players nearby, just keep in mind there are several text boxes to go through to complete the task.
Dig Mosaic Caches around the Rescue Station
Just like day one, you’re digging for Caches. The first three are near the Rescue Station. You can find two out in the open near the Helipad (pictured above). The final one is buried near the tower to the east of the station.
Dig Mosaic Caches around Coastal Columns
The three Mosaic Caches are dotted around the ruins to the west of the map (pictured above). One is a little further away as it’s at the end of the path, but it’s easy to see. I ran into heavy resistance each time I went for Caches, so you may want to drop nearby and grab some guns before heading to the objective.
Investigate and Catalog the second Mosaic Emblem
To finish the Day 2 quests, you must interact with the Mosaic Emblem. Fortunately, it’s next to the pieces you just dug up at Coastal Columns. You can find the Mosaic in the ruined building pictured above.
