Being able to get around players is a big deal in football, and especially EA Sports FC 24 and its predecessors. Finding new ways of effective dribbling is always on the player’s mind, whether that’s through using skill moves, or utilizing new ways of moving the ball. Controlled Sprint in EA Sports FC 24 is one of the new ways of moving the ball when it’s at your feet, and it couldn’t be easier to do. To do Controlled Sprint for yourself all you need to do is press the sprint button, which is the right trigger on controller, and press the right shoulder button at the same time.

When you do this, you should be able to see your player going at an increased speed, that is a little slower than a full sprint, but you have a considerable amount of control over the ball and where it goes while it’s at your foot. Essentially, Controlled Sprint is a way for the ball to stick to your foot while going at a higher speed and retaining a sharp turning angle.

Players with the Technical PlayStyle, and especially PlayStyle+ like Jamal Musiala, can do Controlled Sprint better, being able to perform wide turns with better precision, and moving quicker when they enter Controlled Sprint mode in EA Sports FC 24.
