God of War Ragnarok, the outstanding title that was released back in 2022, has now released a brand new free DLC for players to dive into with Valhalla. Kratos and Mimir will be joining together once again, but before you embark on those adventures, you will need to download it.
God of War Ragnarok Valhalla: How to Download
Valhalla was a surprise announcement during The Game Awards 2023 show, and players worldwide are amped to dive into the story of Kratos one more time — and this time, in the form of a roguelike.
While the DLC is technically free, you’re first going to need to have GoW Ragnarok already purchased, and if you haven’t already played through the title, we highly recommend it, as it’s an all-timer.
Now, moving on, players will want to get into the action ASAP, especially with it being released on December 12.
To install God of War Ragnarok Valhalla, you’re going to want to head over to the PlayStation Store and head into the section with Valhalla listed. If you already own the game on your PS5 account or have the disc inserted in the PS5, it should allow you to download it free of charge.

Upon hitting that add to library button, the download should begin, and before you know it, you’ll be hitting the Nordic regions as Kratos once again and checking out all the new features.
One of these is a familiar face from God of War games in the past, and we won’t spoil it for players, but it’s one that is truly a gift to fans.
While we could still see more God of War DLC in the future, perhaps centered around Atreus, we’re overjoyed with Valhalla.
