In Palworld, practicality is as important as coolness when it comes to assigning Pals to your base. Thankfully, with Digtoise, you’ll get both in great measure. An expert at digging and rocking an awesome shell, Digtoise is a Pal you’ll want to have to hand.
Where Digtoise spawns in Palworld
Digtoise is a Ground-type Pal that isn’t exactly accessible for beginner players unless they choose to start in a more difficult location. They’ll spawn above ground in hot regions.
Spawning alone, you won’t have to worry about other Digtoises joining the action should you engage. They are aggressive, too, so be ready for a fight if they see you.
They aren’t exactly powerful Pals, but they spawn in levels no less than 20, so you will need strong equipment and Pals to face them.
Capturing Digtoise in Palworld
When capturing Digtoise, make sure to bring some Giga Spheres, a Shield, Metal Armor and a Metal Helm, and a ranged weapon (I’d recommend the Crossbow at the least).
Their weak point is their head, so make sure to unload your ammunition there to whittle their health down. Bring a Pal along to speed up the process and take some of the heat off you, but be mindful of any Grass-type attacks, as they’ll be super effective against any Digtoise.
Digtoise has a signature move: Shell Spin. They’ll spin and charge toward you, dealing pretty decent damage. You can out-dodge this attack, provided you have the stamina for it. Upon striking you, however, they seem to stop spinning.
Once their health has been reduced enough, you’ll be able to capture them, using nothing less than a Giga Sphere.
Upon being defeated or captured, Digtoise may drop High Quality Pal Oil and Ore.
Digtoise in the Base in Palworld
Captured Digtoises make for decent teammates for battle, but you’ll be substituting them for more powerful Pals soon. Thankfully, they are fantastic miners.
With Mining Lvl 3, these Pals will provide you with Stone or Ore very quickly. Unless you need an abnormal amount of Stone, having only one Digtoise assigned to a Stone Pit will meet your Stone needs.
If you make a base in an area abundant with Coal, Ore, Sulfur, or the like, you can assign a Digtoise or two to make mining super easy and super efficient. Alternatively, bringing them along for Ore runs will dramatically reduce the harvesting time.
