What does the Genesis Tuning Stone do in Diablo 4?

The Genesis Tuning Stone makes your Seneschal Companion extremely overpowered because it increases the effectiveness of the Supported Skill by 150%. Whatever your Governing Stone is, with the Genesis Tuning Stone equipped, it will be magnified by 150%.

To use the Genesis Tuning Stone, you slot it into a Tuning Stone spot just like every other Tuning Stone. It can also be upgraded if you happen to find more, but first, you need to find one.

All ways to get Genesis Tuning Stone in Diablo 4

There are four ways to get the Genesis Tuning Stone in Diablo 4 Season 3. Here are all those ways:

  • Completing Vaults and opening Wardwoven Chests within Vaults
  • Uncertain Seneschal Stone Caches crafted from Jewellers
  • Defeating Heralds of Malphas as you complete the Arcane Tremors event
  • Defeating Uber Malphas

Completing Vaults and opening Wardwoven Chests

As you progress further through the Diablo 4 Season 3 seasonal quest, you’ll unlock Vaults. If you get and keep Zoltun’s Warding blessings by using Pearls of Warding, not only will you get a chance to get a Genesis Tuning Stone at the end of a Vault, but you’ll also get another chance by opening the Wardwoven Chest.

There’s a small chance that a Genesis Tuning Stone can drop from opening an Uncertain Seneschal Stone Cache. These are acquired from the Jeweller at level 20 by paying 300 Shattered Stones and 20 Iron Chunks.

The main activity in Season of the Construct is to play Arcane Tremors. The end goal of this activity is to summon and defeat a Herald of Malphas. There’s a small chance that you get a Genesis Tuning Stone by defeating a Herald of Malphas, but you’re more likely going to get a regular Governing or Tuning Stone which is also a good reward.

Defeating Uber Malphas

The last and best way to get a Genesis Tuning Stone is to defeat Uber Malphas. Malphas is the final boss of the Diablo 4 Season 3 seasonal questline, but once you reach World Tier 4, you can attempt to beat Uber Malphas. Defeating Uber Malphas is the best way to get a Genesis Tuning Stone because it has the highest drop rate.

Now that you know all the ways to get the Genesis Tuning Stone in Diablo 4 Season 3, you should find out how to get the Evernight Tuning Stone. With both Tuning Stones’ powers combined, you’ll be unstoppable.
