While playing through the main quest for the Rift in Time DLC, you’ll soon come across this quest that has Jafar ask that you deal with this ‘metal nuisance’. Here’s how to complete it.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Flying Metal Nuisance quest guide

Your first step is to find this “flying metal nuisance,” who just so happens to be EVE from WALL-E. Jafar upgrades your Pickaxe so it can break Copper, which will come in handy. Head to the western side of Ancient’s Landing where the wooden bridge is located, and break the Copper rocks blocking your way. Past there you should see EVE floating.

Speak with EVE, then head back to Jafar at any Hologram Station without the Royal Hourglass you’re trying to get from her. Next up, he’ll ask that you raid her home for clues on its whereabouts. Walk back to where you found EVE, and you should see her spaceship home just a few paces away from her. Head inside, and sort through all that junk until you pick up a photo.

Where to find EVE’s hidden area from the Memory

This photo reveals a hidden location nearby. Speak with Jafar again, and he’ll ask that you find this place. It’s pretty close by, just walk behind the waterfall that’s near the bridge in the main part of Ancient’s Landing, and you’ll find a hideaway blocked by Copper.

Break the rocks, enter the room, and turn left to open the chest. Inside is a Robot Costume and a Robot Hat, alongside Popcorn and Cotton Candy. Wear the full Robot outfit, then speak with EVE again.

EVE will give you a recipe, which you can then learn. This Best Fish Forever recipe includes these ingredients:

  • Sea Snail: Fishing at the Docks and Overlook.
  • Robot Fish: Fishing at the Docks and Overlook.
  • Celery: Purchase from Goofy’s Stalls after completing the next quest ‘Give Me a Sign’. He’ll also give you seeds after finishing that quest.
  • Cumin: A white plant you can find by the Docks, Courtyard, Overlook, and Ruins.

Once you get all those ingredients, head to the grill by the Docks to create the meal and show it to EVE. She now trusts you enough to tell you where the Royal Hourglass is, which is in the wall behind her. With the Royal Hourglass in hand, you can head back to Jafar and finish the quest.

Now that you know how to complete The Flying Metal Nuisance quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, have you learned what monkeys eat yet?
