Destiny 2: How to fix Error Code Chicken

There are several fixes you can try to get rid of the Chicken Error Code and get back to enjoying Iron Banner or solving the Vexcalibur mystery.

Use a wired connection

The first tip advised by Bungie is to use a wired connection. This is a great trick to try as the results will automatically eliminate potential problems. If you usually play on wifi, then try connecting your platform directly to your internet router. If the Chicken Error Code goes away, then you know that the problem is with your wifi.

Clear the cache

The next fix is to clear the cache on whatever platform you are on. If you are on Epic Games or Steam, you can go to downloads and find an option to clear the cache. If you are on a console, power off your console and unplug it. Wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. This will force your console to reconnect with the internet which could solve any connection issues.

Power cycle the internet route

The last trick you can try to get rid of the Chicken Error Code in Destiny 2 is to power cycle your internet route. This means you need to disconnect the router and let it sit unpowered for 10 seconds. Turn it back on and reconnect everything to it. After reconnecting your platform to the router, any connection errors you’re experiencing with Destiny 2 should be gone.

Wait for Bungie to fix it

Error codes are common in Destiny 2. Sometimes the best advice is to see if Bungie has put turned off the Destiny 2 servers for maintenance. If that is the case, all you can do is wait for the servers to come back online.
