How to get and use Koins and Seasonal Kredits in Mortal Kombat 1

All kinds of kurrencies!

Collectibles, cosmetics, music, and artwork. Everything you can imagine can be unlocked in the brand-new entry to the Mortal Kombat franchise. However, these won’t come for free. You will have to put some extra effort and hours into the game for you to get the best-looking customization items in the game. How will you do this? Well, by using in-game money, of course! Here is how to get and use Koins and Seasonal Kredits in Mortal Kombat 1.

Koins is the easiest currency to explain out of the three available in Mortal Kombat 1. These Koins can be collected by doing a plethora of activities in Mortal Kombat 1. Leveling up, completing story chapters, finishing tutorials, and, of course, completing the Daily and Weekly Quests. The latter will help you create a road map for you to optimize your currency intake. Thankfully, these quests are not overly complex and will happen naturally by fighting enemies during Invasions, Towers, Story Mode, etc.

Now, while you might expect to find a specific store for these Koins or other uses for them, they are dragon fodder. No, really. When you visit the Shrine, you will be asked to offer 1000 Koins in exchange for a random reward. If you are lucky, you can get nice rewards from the RNG Dragon. If not, well, you are literally out of luck, stuck with lesser rewards or cosmetics.

I lied before, I’m sorry. You see, Seasonal Kredits are as easy to explain as the Koins. In fact, you collect them the same way you do with Koins, although you will find they drop more often than Koins. Conquer victories, play through the different modes, unlock new Main Roster characters and Kameo fighter levels, and basically don’t die.

The difference lies in how you are going to spend your freshly obtained Seasonal Kredits. Open up the Store and locate the Seasonal Item section. There, you will be able to select the character of your preference and purchase cosmetics for them. These Seasonal Items will refresh after every season, just like the composition of the Invasions board.

Be sure to spend your Koins and Seasonal Kredits wisely, especially the latter. Koins? Well, just pray to the RNG gods to smile upon you and you might get some awesome rewards. Hopefully, that day arrives for me. Hopefully.
