Moonstone Island – Where to get the Furnace blueprint

Unlike most blueprints, you can get the Furnace blueprint by completing a quest. Specifically, the ‘Furnace for a Friend’ quest for Ferra. You’ll receive this quest relatively early in the game, and Ferra will ask that you sell her 10 copper ore in exchange for a Furnace blueprint.

Ferra works as a blacksmith, and you can visit her shop to sell her the copper ore. Somehow, I managed to misread the quest and didn’t know you got the Furnace blueprint as a reward for completing it. You’ll find most blueprints in chests, which is where I was initially trying to find it. Chests spawn in underground caves and dungeons. But most of the blueprints are for housing decorations, not vital furniture like the Furnace.

Once you complete this quest, Ferra will give you the Furnace blueprint. All it takes now is to craft it with 10 wood and stone. Place one down, and you can add coal as the fuel. If you add three copper ore, iron ore, or moonstone, you can smelt them for a few in-game hours to earn an ingot. Copper, iron, and moonstone ingots are useful for many other crafting recipes.

If you’re curious about other blueprints that you’re still missing in your crafting menu, you’ll probably need to complete quests for them. Other than that, crafting items you can make through the Decoration Station come from blueprints throughout chests around the many islands.
