Microcosm Exotic Trace Rifle Perks in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

The Microcosm Exotic Trace Rifle comes fully equipped with two powerful traits that make it stand out as a good choice. You can find a brief overview of this gun below.

  • Paracausal Beam Intrinsic Trait: Fires a beam of Kinetic light, dealing massive bonus damage to shields.
  • Paracausal Imbuement Trait: Final blows with this weapon grant Super energy. This weapon gains bonus damage once your Super expires.
  • Element: Kinetic

As you can see, this new powerful rifle is great for builds that have a heavy focus on using Supers. The Microcosm grants bonus Super energy and deals massive damage once your Super ends. While earning the new rifle isn’t the hardest thing to do, it still takes a while considering you need to complete all main quests and a post-campaign Exotic quest. In case you’re wondering, there are eight main missions in the Final Shape. Below is a list of all main missions.

  • Mission 1: Transmigration
  • Mission 2: Temptation
  • Mission 3: Exegesis
  • Mission 4: Requiem
  • Mission 5: Ascent
  • Mission 6: Dissent
  • Mission 7: Iconoclasm
  • Mission 8: Unlocked after the World First Raid Completion

It is estimated that it will take the average player around 12 hours to complete the main missions of Destiny 2: The Final Shape, but that depends on if you’re doing Normal or Legendary. In other words, you should be able to claim the Microcosm Exotic Trace Rifle around that time frame. Maybe a little longer, depending on how long it takes you to complete the post-campaign exotic quest.
