Destiny 2: How to unlock the Dawning Memento

The only way to get the icy blue Dawning Memento in Destiny 2 is to participate in the Dawning 2023 event. What you have to do is get the Winter Night quest from Eva Levante who is located right in the center of The Tower and then complete that quest.

The Winter Night quest does a good job of introducing you to the mechanics of Dawning 2023, but it also allows you to get the Dawning Memento. I think the icy look of the weapons is one most people will want to get, but it’s a bit more challenging than it appears.

For me, I only acquired the full Winter Night quest after leaving The Tower and coming back to Eva Levante, so make sure you do that. Here are the requirements to beat the Winter Night quest in Destiny 2:

  • Step 1
    • Get 75 Snowball final blows
    • Get 25 Upgraded Snowball final blows
    • Deliver Classic Butter Cookie
  • Step 2
    • Turn in the quest by talking to Eva Levante

How to get Upgraded Snowballs in Destiny 2 Dawning 2023.

Snowballs spawn everywhere in activities while the Dawning event is live. What you need to do to get Upgraded Snowballs is purchase one upgrade from Eva Levante by spending Dawning Spirit which you can get a lot of by delivering gifts and completing Eva Levante’s Bounties.

Once you do that, you’ll unlock the Dawning Memento. You use it by going to the Enclave on Mars and putting the Memento into one of your crafted weapons. Once that’s done, go to the cosmetic tab of that weapon and you’ll be able to use the icy blue Dawning Memento. You can get a chance to earn even more Mementos by completing more of Eva Levante’s quests and challenges.
