Leveling up.

Starfield is a massive game with a bunch of hidden secrets for you to find. You can find secrets even in the most abandoned and barren of planets. One of the types of secrets you can find throughout the game is different weapons and spacesuits to improve your gameplay capabilities. You can do this at any point in the game, like getting the Mark 1 Spacesuit, which is something you can get almost immediately if you know where to look and how to do so. Here’s our guide on how to get the Mark 1 Spacesuit in Starfield.

To be able to get the Mark 1 Spacesuit, you’re going to need to head to The Lodge in New Atlantis. Once you get inside The Lodge, take an immediate right and you should be able to see a door. This door will be locked, but if you have the Lodge Key you should be able to access and unlock the door. You get the Lodge Key by joining Constellation, which is something you do when you come here for the first time in the story.

After going through that door, you should see a flight of stairs, you’ll want to proceed down these stairs into the basement of The Lodge. When you get to the bottom of the stairs, take a left and continue to the next room, which should be a square room with four exits. Upon getting to this room, simply head into the exit on the right and continue in that direction until you reach the final room in this direction. This room is where the Mark 1 Spacesuit is being kept in Starfield.

Getting the spacesuit

You can see the Mark 1 Spacesuit inside of a glass case on a mannequin. You would usually need a Master proficiency in lockpicking to be able to open this case, but luckily for us, there’s a way around that proficiency. This can be a little tricky to pull off, but I have done it myself so I can prove that it’s a little tricky but pretty easily doable.

To be able to get the Mark 1 Spacesuit without the need to lockpick in Starfield, the first thing you need to do is approach the glass case while crouched. Get as close as you can to the case while crouched, and line yourself up with the seam next to the handle of the door. You should be able to see through, and when you move your reticle to where you can see through the case, you should be able to access the mannequin and grab the Mark 1 Spacesuit without the need to lockpick. If you require a visual aid, the image above is how I got it when I did it for the first time.
