Odin is one of the most demanding boss fights in Chadley’s Combat Simulator, using the classic one-shot kill to destroy your party. That’s why it is essential to learn how to pressure Odin in FF7 Rebirth, which this guide explains in full detail.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to pressure Odin
The first thing to know about Odin in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is that he has zero weaknesses, only lesser resistances. “Lesser resistances” are less useful than weaknesses, but they can still exploit a boss and trigger a Pressure and Stagger.
In this case, Odin’s lesser resistances are Deprotect, Deshell, Debrave, and Defaith. In other words, to pressure Odin in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you must equip Materia with the spells mentioned. When I focused on using these spells during my three attempts, I was able to pressure him each time.

Tactics for Fighting Odin
When you fight Odin, your main focus is to cast the spells mentioned as soon as possible. The combination of the spells and your ATB abilities will pressure Odin, which can lead to a stagger.
I entered the battle and cast Deprotect and Deshell first, followed by Debrave and Defaith. I mixed in ATB abilities, leading to him being pressured quickly. This is ultimately how I defeated Odin and I’m confident it will work for you too.
I recommend you equip the Safety Bit accessory to counter his one-shot Zantetsuken attack. If you don’t stagger him before he uses Zantetsuken, your party will be wiped, and you’ll have to start over.
Besides pressuring Odin, your best bet at beating him is to find all the Odin Summon Crystals in the game. With each activated Odin Summon Crystal, you will weaken Odin and make the boss fight more manageable. Be wary, though; even at the lowest difficulty, it’s an extremely tough battle.
