If you want to face an immediate challenge in Palworld then there’s good news. Right as you start the game you can find a Dinossom less than a minute’s walk away from the starting point. Here’s how you can find this Dinossom yourself in Palworld.
Where to find Dinossom quickly in Palworld
When you first spawn in Palworld right after creating your character and watching the short introduction, the game expects you to walk forward. However, there’s plenty to explore just behind you as a short path will take you down to the beach below. Along this path is where you can encounter a Dinossom. Check the map below for the general area that Dinossom can be found in.
Before you search for it yourself, know that this spawn is not guaranteed to work every time. I’ve tested this myself on a bunch of characters and I can confirm that a Dinossom has appeared three times out of 10. So if you don’t see any sign of it you can always create a new game from the main menu. The Dinossom moves around though, just like all the other inhabitants of Palworld. So you may need to look around a bit to find it. Sometimes it’s on the sand, and other times it’s trotting along the pathway.
How to capture Dinossom
Catching Dinossom is easier said than done in Palworld though and this is where to real challenge comes in. In each encounter, Dinossom has been level 14 or 15. And that means you’ll be in for a tough fight if you decide to battle it straight away. If you’re persistent and careful, you can whittle its health down after a while. But you don’t need to fight just yet.
Dinossom should continue to roam down here for a while and in my testing, it hasn’t disappeared from this general location just yet. So you can head off, craft some weapons, and catch some Pals before taking it on. It’s still going to be a challenge if you’re facing it in the early hours of the game though so be sure to prepare well before going in.
Once you’ve managed to get Dinossom under control, you can tackle an ever-greater threat when you’re ready. Just make sure you’re prepared if you decide to take down Mommorest, King of the Forest.
