Where to recruit Precis in Star Ocean The Second Story R
To be able to get Precis in your party in Star Ocean The Second Story R, you’re going to need to progress the story a bit. This is because the Private Action needed to be able to recruit Precis doesn’t unlock until after the Armory Contest in Lacuer City. Once you finish the Armory Contest in Lacuer City, and face Dias in the final with Claude, you’ll be able to unlock Precis.
To recruit Precis in Star Ocean The Second Story R, you’re going to want to head to Linga after the Armory Contest. Here, you should see a Private Action available, as it’s a Private Action is what allows you to recruit Precis. This Private Action is on the right-hand side of town after you meet her while entering the town. Once you complete this Private Action, Precis will be able to join the party in Star Ocean The Second Story R.

Precis will be a lower level probably
When Precis joins the party in Star Ocean The Second Story R, she’ll be level 15. This is probably a fair few levels underneath what your current party is at. For me, I was about level 36 when Precis joined, meaning she had a 20-level deficit compared to the rest of my party, but I was leveling up a bit too much because this game is too fun.
From what I’ve seen online, apparently, she becomes a great party member once you get her on par with the rest of your party, but getting there might take a while. There are a few different ways to make this quicker, like the Train specialty, or making items that make this easier. You can use Contraband to make a Counterfeit Medal, which lowers EXP needed to reach the next level to one, or make an Experience Card using Art, and then replicate those using replication.
The other thing to know when recruiting Precis is that recruiting her locks out another party member later on, that being Bowman. So if you want to recruit Bowman, you’ll have to skip on recruiting Precis in Star Ocean The Second Story R.
