In Penacony, you can unlock the Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters and Watchmaker Master of Dream Machinations Relics, which are two incredibly useful sets that provide bonuses to characters that don’t get a lot of use.

To unlock these new Relic sets, you need to progress through the main storyline of Honkai Star rail version 2.0 until you unlock The Reverie (Dreamscape). This is the final area of the main Penacony questline, so you have a few hours of questing ahead of you if you aren’t caught up on the story. The Dreamscape portions of Penacony are comprised of winding paths with plenty of chests to collect, so be sure to explore thoroughly instead of rushing to the end.

Shortly after arriving in The Reverie (Dreamscape) during the mission called Should One Awaken at Midnight, you’ll come across a new Cavern of Corrosion that contains these two new Relic sets. Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Dreamdive pits you against powerful foes like the Beyond Overcooked dinosaur, so make sure you have a good team setup for this fight.

The Special Mechanism for this Cavern of Corrosion benefits DoT damage, so bring Black Swan or Kafka if you have them.

Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters Stats

Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters is the perfect set for Nihility characters that focus on DoT damage and debuffs. It has the following effects:

  • 2-Piece Set Bonus: Increases DMG dealt to enemies with debuff by 12%.
  • 4-Piece Set Bonus: Increases CRIT Rate by 4%. The wearer deals 8%/12% increased CRIT DMG to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn.

This is the new best-in-slot Relic set for any Nihility characters since it provides huge bonuses to CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG just for applying a single debuff. Luka, Black Swan, Kafka, and Acheron will all benefit greatly from Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters.

Watchmaker Master of Dream Machinations Stats

The Watchmaker Master of Fream Machinations set is focused on boosting Break Effect, making it a great fit for characters like Ruan Mei or Sushang. It has the following effects:

  • 2-Piece Set Bonus: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  • 4-Piece Set Bonus: When the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, all allies’ Break Effect increases by 30% for 2 turns. This effect cannot be stacked.

This isn’t as exciting as Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, but it still has its uses. Break Effect may not be the most useful stat in Honkai Star Rail, but it’s great for supporting characters like Bronya or Tingyun. You could also just use two pieces of this set to get the Break Effect stat increase and mix it with another two-piece set bonus from another Relic set.
