While you can certainly play this open-world RPG by yourself, what about playing with a friend? We’ll answer all your multiplayer questions below.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora: Is it co-op multiplayer?

Surprisingly, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora does have a co-op multiplayer mode! Similar to Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6, you can invite a friend into your world to raid RDA bases, go hunting, and explore Pandora. This does not mean split-screen co-op, your friend must also purchase this game to team up with you online.

Your friend needs to be on the same main story mission as you. If you want to progress the story together, you can, you just need to be at the same point in the campaign. One player is the host, and the other is the guest.

This begs the question of whether Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is crossplay-friendly. For now, we’ll have to keep you posted on that, but, in my opinion, I doubt it will feature crossplay. This was the same for Far Cry 6, so my guess is that Avatar won’t support it either.

The good news is that you’re allowed to keep everything from your co-op session back in your single-player mode. This also means you can trade items and gear with your friend while in co-op mode, and still keep those items when it’s over.

To make things less complicated, I recommend starting Avatar at the same time as a friend, and try your best to mirror each other’s progress in case you’d like to jump into each other’s games. Games are fun with friends, so why not try it out?
