Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) Blasted guide: How to easily destroy armor with Shatter Blast Ammo Mod

Shatter Blast them away.

It can take a really long time to complete the Blaster mission in Modern Warfare Zombies. However, as is the case with all our MWZ mission guides, I discovered a trick to make Shatter Blasting armor off zombies easy and quick.

Before you can go blowing off zombies’ armor, you first need a Shatter Blast Ammo Mod. In my experience, Ammo Mods are best found at Aether Nests. There is a one in five chance you get a Shatter Blast Ammo Mod, but my luck leads me to say you’ll likely get a Shatter Blast mod after clearing out and looting one or two Aether Nests. Just don’t let your teammates snag it first (which is why I always play solo).

After acquiring a Shatter Blast Ammo Mod, I highly recommend you equip it onto a shotgun. Believe me, the method I’m about to tell you makes getting Shatter Blast Ammo Mod kills easy.

Here’s what you have to do. Take your Shatter Blast Ammo Mod-infused shotgun to the forest hills north of Urzikstan Cargo and southwest of Popov Power. This is the best location to complete the Blasted mission because it’s in Threat Zone Two which gives us armored zombies and it’s in an area with a lot of open space which allows you to freely round up a group of zombies.

The goal is to have a bunch of zombies spawn around you. Run in a big circle to round them up. Keep an eye on the armored zombies because they are our primary target to destroy armor on 25 zombies. I need to warn you: be cautious. Sprint ahead often because it only takes around three or four swings, depending on your Armor Vest and Perk-a-Colas, to get knocked.

Once you’ve collected about five or so armored zombies and they are all gathered in a tight group, shoot your shotgun at the armored zombies. The first shot should always deploy a Shatter Blast. You should see all the zombies in the center, and more importantly, all the armored zombies, explode. Check your mission tracker to make sure it counts and repeat the process.

When doing this method, I counted the seconds it takes for Shatter Blast to recharge since it doesn’t deploy on every shot. In my experience, it takes 30 seconds for Shatter Blast to cool down, so count out 30 seconds before you shoot again.

As I was rinsing and repeating the above method to complete the Blasted mission in Modern Warfare Zombies, one of the first armored zombies I defeated dropped a Cyphered Tablet. Keep your eyes peeled for a rectangle item dropped by a defeated armored zombie and pick it up when it’s safe.

That is how you easily defeat 25 armored zombies and complete the Blasted mission in MWZ. If you’re still struggling with the Hands Off Sentry Gun mission, check out our guide to complete it, you guessed it, with a very easy method.
