No HTC Vive 2 at CES despite rumours

No HTC Vive 2 at CES despite rumours

Rumours have been circulating this morning that HTC would be showing a new HTC Vive unit at CES in January with new bells and whistles.

There has been mention of 4K resolution with wireless which seemed a little far-fetched at this stage in the VR cycle. HTC has debunked the rumours confirming to UploadVR that there will not be a Vive 2 reveal at CES which kicks off on 5 January 2017.

“There is no truth to the rumor of launching Vive 2 at CES 2017. At Vive, we are laser focused on building out a strong and growing ecosystem for current and future Vive owners so they can experience the best room-scale VR with the most compelling content available.”

Don’t head to Ebay just yet to sell your Vive, it might be a while until we see something new.
