Sony Online Entertainment revealed in their new All Access FAQ that Planetside, their 1st foray into online gaming in 2003, is going free to play. While its sequel has seen huge success in free to play, the 1st Planetside does not have a marketplace for Sony to use microtransactions. As a result, the game is completely free, at least for now. Subsequently, Planetside 2 is going to the Playstation 4.
