Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Areelu’s Laboratory secrets guide – Act 3
Let’s talk about what you need to do in Areelu’s Lab during Act 3 of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
How to Reach Areelu’s Lab
There are different ways to reach Areelu’s Lab in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. For most Mythic Paths, it involves completing a Mythic Quest, as well as clearing the Ivory Sanctum. In others, such as Azata, you might end up here once you get teleported during the Where Your Soul Calls quest.

In any case, the location itself is far to the southwest of Drezen, and you’ll find yourself in front of a rundown hut. Interact with the cauldron here to spawn a portal, then pass through it so you can be in the lab proper.
If you interact with the table, the Suture, Areelu’s dretch assistant, will appear. Do not attack him, as his survival throughout the campaign is integral to the secret ending.

Main Part of the Lab
Head over to the main part of the lab, which is the only accessible area at the start.

Important Items
- Elven Notes for the Storyteller
- Experiment: The Suture Crystal – Can be placed in the projector.
- Midnight Bolt – Used to snipe Demon Lords so you can create a Nahyndrian Crystal. These items are necessary for the secret ending.
Additional Loot
- Cloak of the Ancient Herald – When channeling energy to heal, gain +2 to Persuasion skill checks and +2 save DC of spells with the compulsion descriptor; when channeling energy to harm, the target must pass a Will saving throw or be dazed. Found in the northern square room.
- Expedition Boots – +10 competence bonus to Athletics skill checks and +5 competence bonus to Mobility skill checks. Found in the same room as the Elven Notes.

The Old Wing
After picking up all the stuff, head to the northwest exit. There’s a large, rectangular chamber that has a smaller room.

Important Items
- Elven Notes for the Storyteller
- Secret of Great Sorcery Crystal – Can be placed in the projector.
Additional Loot
- Heavy Crossbow of Degradation – +2 heavy crossbow; when you do a critical hit, all enemies within 15 feet must pass a DC20 reflex saving throw or suffer +1 INT damage. Found in the same room as the Secret of Great Sorcery Crystal.
- White Dragon – +4 breastplate; +30 cold aura and cold resistance; cold aura causes all creatures within five feet to suffer 2d6 points of cold damage at the beginning of the turn. Found in the circular room at the southern end of the hallway.

Heart of the Lab
Return to the main part of the lab and use the southern exit. Take out the enemy mobs in the next section, then interact with the crystal and the misty door. Suture will pop up again and he’ll give you a key. Pass through the corridor and you’ll be in the large chamber of the lab.
Important Items
- Experiment: Transformation Crystal – Can be placed in the projector.
- Lexicon of Paradox (First Page) – Another important item in the game if you want the secret ending.
- Accept its power to gain a Mythic Level.
- A short flashback scene will play where you’ll learn about what happened in Kenabres.
- Do not give the Lexicon to Suture. Just let him leave peacefully.
- Projector Device – You can interact with the object to play hologram scenes from the crystals you’ve acquired. After playing all three, you’ll get the Memories Frozen in Time achievement.

Additional Loot
- Buckler of Ray Negation – +3 buckler; +5 bonus to AC against ranged touch attacks. Found in the main chamber.
Now that you’re done here, you can use the portal to return to the rundown hut. Also, if you want to complete the Arueshalae romance, make sure you camp and rest while in this location (not on the world map). This leads to a short dream sequence that’s a required flag for the romance.
