Shinya Oda is the holder of the Tower Arcana and a Confidant in Persona 5 Royal. He is an avid gamer famous for his impressive skills. Oda is introduced on 09/04 and you can begin his Confidant on the same day after failing to defeat the boss of the ‘Winners Don’t Use Cheats’ Mementos request. He is available during the day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and can be found at the arcade in Akihabara.
As with most Confidants, there isn’t a limit on when you can rank Oda up. As long as you achieve Rank 10 before reaching an ending, you can complete the Tower Confidant. Be aware that you don’t get access to Oda’s social link until relatively late on, so you will have less time to finish it than other social links.
Persona 5 Royal: Shinya Oda Confidant skills
Below are the skills and benefits acquired from ranking up the Tower Confidant. The best skills are Bullet Hail, Laced Bullets, Cheap Shot, and Electric Slug. When combined with the Hanged Man Confidant, Oda’s social link gives your guns both spectacular damage and utility. Although this isn’t a must-do, Confidant it would be unwise to ignore it entirely.
- Rank 1 – Down Shot: Allows you to knock down an enemy with a special shot once per infiltration.
- Rank 2 – Bullet Hail: Chance to enter a gun-based All-out Attack after a successful ambush.
- Rank 3 – Warning Shot: Able to scare enemies in negotiation to make it easier to obtain a Persona.
- Rank 5 – Laced Bullets: Increases the success rate of an ailment-inflicting gunshot.
- Rank 6 – Cheap Shot: Allows you to use Down Shot three times per infiltration.
- Rank 8 – Electric Slug: Increases the damage inflicted by Bullet Hail.
- Rank 10 – Oda Special: Allows Joker’s gun attacks to ignore resistances and hit the enemy.
