PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sells 20 million

There’s a reason PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds tops the Steam Top Sellers chart every week, it’s still selling like hotcakes.

Today PUBG announced that the game has now sold more than 20 million copies after reaching this new milestone over the weekend. That’s an extra five million in less than a month. The update from PUBG also came with a message for players frustrated with the game’s issues adding:

“I know a lot of you are frustrated by issues w/ the game but the team is working hard to deliver a truly great Battle Royale experience for everyone. Bear with us, change is coming!”

PUBG will have to work harder now that Fornite is pulling in the battle royale crowd. Just yesterday Epic announced that their take on the genre has managed to reach 20 million gamers. Their take on battle royale is free to play so it’s understandable, but still, these two are in a battle royale of their own right now.
