Pokémon GO: All level requirements and level-up item rewards list, explained

In Pokemon Go, you’ll be leveling up as you earn experience points (EXP). Each level shows all other players your experience with the game, and each level also rewards you with fantastic rewards. It’s always exciting to see what goodies are waiting in store for you, and it’s also good to know how much EXP you need to hit the next level. Here is the complete list of all 50 levels, their rewards, and how to reach them in Pokemon Go.

How to get EXP in Pokemon Go

To level up in Pokemon Go, you need to get EXP. You get EXP for all of the following actions:

• Catching Pokemon
• Your first Pokemon catch of the day
• New Pokédex entry
• Pokemon runs away
• Hatching eggs
• Spinning Pokestops
• Feeding berries to Pokemon
• Completing Gym Battles
• Completing Raids
• Unlocking friend statuses

So, pretty much every action imaginable in Pokemon Go will net you experience, so simply play the game to the fullest to level up faster!

Excellent throws, becoming best friends with another trainer, and completing legendary raids are the best sources of EXP, but you’ll only have to worry about those much later in the game.

All levels in Pokemon Go

Below are all 50 levels in Pokemon Go, alongside how you get to each level. Upon release, level 40 was the maximum; however, in the 2020 Pokemon Go Beyond update, the max was increased to 50. The ten levels between 40 and 50 have extra requirements!

Levels 1 to 40 in Pokemon Go

Levels 1 to 40 simply require you to reach EXP thresholds. Below lists the EXP you need to gain to reach that level, then the total amount of EXP you would have accumulated, and then the rewards for reaching it. Some level unlock game features, which are also listed if applicable.

• Level 1: You start at this level.
• Level 2: Need 1,000 EXP. Will have 1,000 EXP. Will get 10 Poké Balls.
• Level 3: Need 2,000 EXP. Will have 3,000 EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls.
• Level 4: Need 3,000 EXP. Will have 6,000 EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls.
• Level 5: Need 4,000 EXP. Will have 10,000 EXP. Will get 20 Poké Balls, 10 Potions, 10 Revives, 1 Incense. Will unlock Gyms, Potions, Revives, Teams, Raids, Special Research Tasks.
• Level 6: Need 5,000 EXP. Will have 15,000 EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls, 10 Potions, 5 Revives, 1 Incubator.
• Level 7: Need 6,000 EXP. Will have 21,ooo EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls, 10 Potions, 5 Revives, 1 Incense.
• Level 8: Need 7,000 EXP. Will have 28,000 EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls, 10 Potions, 5 Revives, 10 Razz Berries, 1 Lure Module. Will unlock Team GO Rocket.
• Level 9: Need 8,000 EXP. Will have 36,000 EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls, 10 Potions, 5 Revives, 3 Razz Berries, 1 Lucky Egg.
• Level 10: Need 9,000 EXP. Will have 45,000 EXP. Will get 20 Poké Balls, 20 Super Potions, 10 Revives, 10 Razz Berries, 1 Lucky Egg, 1 Incubator, 1 Incense, 1 Lure Module. Will unlock Super Potions, Golden Razz Berries, Evolution Items, Trades, Trainer Battles.
• Level 11: Need 10,000 EXP. Will have 55.000 EXP. Will get 15 Poké Balls, 10 Super Potions, 3 Revives, 3 Razz Berries.
• Level 12: Need 10.000 EXP. Will have 65.000 EXP. Will get 20 Great Balls, 10 Super Potions, 3 Revives, 3 Razz Berries | Great Balls.
• Level 13: Need 10.000 EXP. Will have 75.000 EXP. Will get 10 Great Balls, 10 Super Potions, 3 Revives, 3 Razz Berries.
• Level 14: Need 10.000 EXP. Will have 85.000 EXP. Will get 10 Great Balls, 10 Super Potions, 3 Revives, 3 Razz Berries | Nanab Berries.
• Level 15: Need 15.000 EXP. Will have 100.000 EXP. Will get 15 Great Balls, 20 Hyper Potions, 10 Revives, 10 Razz Berries, 1 Lucky Egg, 1 Incubator, 1 Incense, 1 Lure Module. Will unlock Hyper Potions, Quick TMs.
• Level 16: Need 20.000 EXP. Will have 120.000 EXP. Will get 10 Great Balls, 10 Hyper Potions, 5 Revives, 5 Razz Berries.
• Level 17: Need 20.000 EXP. Will have 140.000 EXP. Will get 10 Great Balls, 10 Hyper Potions, 5 Revives, 5 Razz Berries.
• Level 18: Need 20.000 EXP. Will have 160.000 EXP. Will get 10 Great Balls, 10 Hyper Potions, 5 Revives, 5 Razz Berries.
• Level 19: Need 25.000 EXP. Will have 185.000 EXP. Will get 10 Great Balls, 10 Hyper Potions, 5 Revives, 5 Razz Berries.
• Level 20: Need 25.000 EXP Will have 210.000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Hyper Potions, 20 Revives, 20 Razz Berries, 2 Lucky Eggs, 2 Incubators, 2 Incenses, 2 Lure Modules. Will unlock Ultra Balls.

• Level 21: Need 50.000 EXP. Will have 260.000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 10 Hyper Potions, 10 Revives, 10 Pinap Berries.

• Level 27: Need 200.000 EXP . Will have 1,100,000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 15 Max Potions, 10 Revives, 15 Nanab Berries.
• Level 28: Need 250.000 EXP. Will have 1,350,000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 15 Max Potions, 10 Revives, 15 Razz Berries.
• Level 29: Need 300.000 EXP. Will have 1,650,000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 15 Max Potions, 10 Revives, 15 Pinap Berries.
• Level 30: Need 350.000 EXP. Will have 2,000,000 EXP. Will get 30 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 20 Max Revives, 20 Razz Berries, 3 Lucky Eggs, 3 Incubators, 3 Incenses, 3 Lure Modules. Will unlock Max Revives.
• Level 31: Need 500.000 EXP. Will have 2,500,000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 15 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 15 Nanab Berries.
• Level 32: Need 500.000 EXP. Will have 3,000,000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 15 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 15 Razz Berries.
• Level 33: Need 750.000 EXP. Will have 3,750,000 EXP. Will get 10 Ultra Balls, 15 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 15 Pinap Berries.

• Level 37: Need 2,000,000 EXP. Will have 9,500,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Pinap Berries.
• Level 38: Need 2,500,000 EXP. Will have 12,000,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Razz Berries. Will unlock PokéStop nomination.
• Level 39: Need 3,000,000 EXP. Will have 15,000,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Nanab Berries.
• Level 40: Need 5,000,000 EXP. Will have 20,000,000 EXP. Will get 40 Ultra Balls, 40 Max Potions, 40 Max Revives, 40 Razz Berries, 4 Lucky Eggs, 4 Incubators, 4 Incenses, 4 Lure Modules. Will unlock XL Candy.

Levels 41 to 50 in Pokemon Go

These levels require you to complete tasks as well as reach EXP thresholds. Bear in mind that these tasks are exceptionally difficult, but if you’ve gotten this far, they shouldn’t scare you off.

Level 41

Need 6,000,000 EXP. Will have 26,000,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Razz Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy.

Tasks needed:

• Power up a Legendary Pokemon 20 times.
• Win 30 raids.
• Catch 200 Pokemon in a single day.
• Earn 5 gold medals.

Level 42

Need 7,500,000 EXP. Will have 33,500,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Nanab Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy.

Tasks needed:

• Evolve Eevee into each of its unique evolutions.
• Use items to evolve Pokemon 15 times.
• Make 3 Excellent Throws.
• Use 200 berries to help catch Pokemon.

Level 43

Need 9,000,000 EXP. Will have 42,500,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Silver Pinap Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy. Will unlock Level 43 Pose, Level 43 Research.

Tasks needed:

• Earn 100,000 Stardust.
• Use 200 supereffective Charged Attacks.
• Catch 5 Legendary Pokemon.
• Earn 5 Platinum medals.

Level 44

Need 11,000,000 EXP. Will have 53,500,000 EXP. Will get 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Razz Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy.

Tasks needed:

• Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Great League.
• Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Ultra League.
• Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Master League.
• Battle in the Battle League 20 times.

Level 45

Need 13,000,000 EXP. Will have 66,500,000 EXP. Will get 40 Ultra Balls, 40 Max Revives, 2 Lucky Egger, 2 Incense, 2 Lure Modules, 1 Elite Charge TM, 1 XL Rare Candy. Will unlock Level 45 Hat, Level 45 Research.

• Defeat 100 Team GO Rocket Grunts.
• Purify 100 Shadow Pokemon.
• Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader 50 times.
• Earn 10 Platinum Medals.

Level 46

Need 15,500,000 EXP. Will have 82,000,000 EXP. Will get 30 Ultra Balls, 25 Max Potions, 20 Max Revives, 25 Razz Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy.

• Complete 100 Field Research tasks.
• Take a snapshot of a Pokemon 7 days in a row.
• Make 50 Excellent Throws.
• Hatch 30 eggs.

Level 47

Need 18,000,000 EXP. Will have 100,000,000 EXP. Will get 30 Ultra Balls, 25 Max Potions, 20 Max Revives, 25 Nanab Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy. Will unlock Level 47 Pose.

• Win 30 raids using a team of all unique Pokemon species.
• Win a three-star raid using only Pokemon with 1,500 CP or less.
• Power up 3 Pokemon to their max CP.
• Earn 20 Platinum Medals.

Level 48

Need 21,000,000 EXP. Will have 121,000,000 EXP. Will get 30 Ultra Balls, 25 Max Potions, 20 Max Revives, 15 Silver Pinap Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy. Will unlock Level 48 Research.

• Receive 20 Souvenirs from your buddy.
• Earn 300 hearts with your buddy.
• Walk 200km with your buddy.
• Walk 25km in a week 8 times.

Level 49

Need 25,000,000 EXP. Will have 146,000,000 EXP. Will get 30 Ultra Balls, 25 Max Potions, 20 Max Revives, 25 Pinap Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 XL Rare Candy. Will unlock Level 49 Boots.

• Make 10 trades with Pokemon caught at least 300km apart.
• Obtain 50 Lucky Pokemon in trades.
• Send 500 gifts to friends.
• Earn 35 Platinum medals.

Level 50

Need 30,000,000 EXP. Will have 176,000,000 EXP. Will get 50 Ultra Balls, 50 Max Potions, 5 Lucky Eggs, 5 Super-Incubators, 5 Incenses, 5 Lure Modules, 1 Elite Charge TM. Will unlock Level 50 Jacket, Level 50 Research.

• Make 999 Excellent throws.
• Catch a Legendary Pokemon in your next five Legendary Pokemon encounters.
• Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader three times using only Pokemon with 2,500 CP or less.
• Reach Rank 10 in the GO Battle League.
