As you will have guessed by the play on words in the title, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is the remastered version and it has finally been given a release date by THQ Nordic.
Announced back in March, this new version of the comes with reworked textures, shadow rendering, improved lighting, and reworked shaders and postprocessing. There is also 4K support on PC. In other words, the game is going to look a lot better than it did back in 2009 when it released.
If you missed Red Faction Guerrilla the first time around, the game is set 50 years after the original Red Faction and players take on the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly formed Red Faction movement as they battle the Earth Defense Force. It was praised for it’s impressive destructible environments.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered releases on 3 July.
