There are only three core races in Type Soul. However, each of them can progress and evolve into a new type. This can all be a bit overwhelming, especially when choosing your starting race. So, here is a tier list to help you choose the best race in Type Soul.
D-Tier Type Soul race
These are considered the worst, usually because they are the starting evolution of the races, such as Fishbone. However, they can be great stepping stones to a much better race in Type Soul.
- Fishbone (First Hollow)
- Lost Soul
- Menos (Hollow)
C-Tier race
Again, these are often just stepping stones to a much stronger race. But you will have to spend time leveling a low-tier Type Soul race to get there.
- Adjuchas (Hollow)
B-Tier race
Now we start to get into the races in Type Soul that are worth working with. If you’re playing as a Hollow, this is the first time you’ll start reaping the rewards.
- Menos Grande (Hollow)
- Soul Reaper (Shinigami)
- Adjucar (Hollow)
A-Tier race
The Quincy has always been a fan favourite, and still stands comfortably in the A tier of this Type Soul Race list. It is an adaptable and fun race to use as is its progression. The Vastolorde takes a lot of work to achieve, but once you have it you can rip your mask off and become the S-tier Vastocar.

S-Tier Type Soul race
If you’re looking for the best of the best when picking your race in Type Soul then try for one of these. Three of the S-tier races in Type Soul are Hollow, so you will have to start right at the bottom with one of the worst races. As you progress and earn XP you will end up with some one of what I think are the best of the bunch in Type Soul.
