In A Mother’s Love – The Cemetery, you met with Verner Vogel. He told you that there was a police investigation regarding the death of Sherlock’s mother Violet. But, when you visit the police station (it’s marked on your map), the cop won’t help you at all. First, he wants you to assist them in solving a petty crime. Here’s our Sherlock Holmes Chapter One guide to help you complete the Master of Disguise quest.

How to complete Master of Disguise in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
Master of Disguise in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One takes place in Mrs. Nini’s Atelier, a store just west of the police station. Our goal is to dress like a thief based on Mrs. Nini’s description so the sketch could be handed to the police. However, Jon proposes a challenge. He wants you to disguise yourself as the old gentleman in the painting.
Go ahead and pick up the sets of clothes inside the small room (make sure you’ve got everything here). Then, wear the following in the Wardrobe tab:
- Top hat
- White suit
- Sideburns
- Old man makeup
Talk to Mrs. Nini and she’ll be amazed at your transformation. Jon will also applaud you for completing the challenge.
Next, let’s get Sherlock to look like the suspect. Your only clue is that the thief looked like a rascal who got beaten up, but Mrs. Nini will keep adding new info. Anyway, try to wear the following:
- Makeup with bruises
- Mustache
- Bowler hat
- Beige suit
You’ll receive a completed sketch of the suspect. You should return to the police station to bring this to the cop at the desk. Next up, we’ll have to enter Stonewood Manor.
