Sherlock Holmes Chapter One The Muse From Abroad Mercurio Painting Verner Vogel

After examining Violet Holmes’ bedroom in a Stonewood Manor Fragmented Memory, Sherlock and Jon are startled by a noise downstairs. No need to worry, it’s just a fella who seems to have a new case for the duo. You can even conduct a character profile to find out that he’s been sent by Verner Vogel. Here’s our Sherlock Holmes Chapter One guide to help you with The Muse From Abroad investigation, the art gallery theft, and the involvement of Mercurio.

How to complete The Muse From Abroad in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

Reconstruct the crime scene

Vogel’s gallery is in the Caravanserai in the southwestern section of the Old City. He asks you to solve a theft that occurred in the basement. Just explore the exhibits in the room until you’ve gathered all the clues. The idea is to select the unknown suspect’s outline in all of the spots except for the one at the foot of the stairs. For that one, choose the Vogel outline where he’s carrying a lamp.

Mercurio’s apartment

You deduce that the thief may have tried to steal a painting done by a certain Mercurio. As for Mercurio’s address, go to the Cordona Chronicle archive and select the following:

  • Evidence – Mercurio’s address
  • Period – Recent
  • People – Celebrities
  • Districts – Old City

Head to a clothing shop and purchase items that will make you look like Mercurio. The landlady in Mercurio’s flat will recognize you and let you in.

Reconstruct the crime scene

Unfortunately, it seems Mercurio is already dead. Examine all the objects here, such as the paintings, photographs, knife, desk, and more. You should be able to reconstruct the crime scene with the following choices:

  • The thief looking for something at the foot of the bed; Mercurio rushing out with a bottle.
  • Mercurio smashing the bottle on the thief’s head; the thief grabbing a knife.
  • The two fighting in front of the painting.

Next, place the room painting on the easel and spot the differences. The skull disappeared, and you’ll find it in the small room. The woman in the Mercurio devil painting was raped, but now you know that she’s a refugee from Africa. Likewise, you’ll see the photo of the rapist (but you don’t know who it is).

From here, you’ll do the following:
