Should you manually upgrade or quick upgrade your car in Forza Motorsport? Answered

Time for an upgrade, but which way?

Upgrading in Forza Motorsport is one of the key components of the game. You can spend many hours tinkering with your car and trying to find the perfect build for you. This is a little different in the eighth entry into the franchise, which is also a reboot, as they introduce a car leveling system. This car leveling locks off different upgrades until you level the car to a certain level. This can make upgrades take longer, as you need to work for them. In this entry, however, they also take you to a screen after every race that gives you the option to upgrade your car, and you can either do it manually or use the quick upgrade and let the game pick upgrades for you. That begs the question: Should you manually upgrade or quick upgrade your car in Forza Motorsport? Here’s our guide on the topic.

Should you manually upgrade or quick upgrade your car in Forza Motorsport? Answered

Upgrading your car in Forza Motorsport is a simple thing to do, but should you do it manually or use the quick upgrade feature given to you? Well, the answer isn’t that simple. I personally prefer to do the manual upgrade, even if it takes a bit longer, as I find that the quick upgrade option doesn’t really give you the highest stat boosts from the available upgrades, and my overall score tends to be lower when I use quick upgrade versus manually doing it myself.

What this probably means is that the quick upgrade is looking for a more balanced way to upgrade my car, which is great, but I just want the fastest car possible, so I always go with a manual upgrade to min/max my stats and get the highest numbers I can. However, if you are looking for a more balanced upgrade, quick upgrade might actually be the one for you. It all depends on how you build your car, and because I like to build mine with the highest numbers possible, I go manual upgrade. But if you want to worry about everything at once, quick upgrade might be the way. Quick upgrade does indeed do the job, and it’s a lot quicker, so it might be worth doing if only for the time it saves you.
