Sniper Elite 5 Season One begins with new Landing Force mission and more weapons

A new base to destroy.

The Landing Force DLC for Sniper Elite 5 kicks off the game’s Season One content. Players can look forward to a brand-new mission, two more weapons for your arsenal, and another multiplayer map. An overview of what you can expect can be found in the Landing Force trailer. The first DLC pack for Sniper Elite 5 isn’t huge by any means, but it still provides a good reason to head back into the game.

Sniper Elite titles in the past have offered up plenty of extra content post-launch. And considering that Sniper Elite 5 already has lots to do, players should have plenty to look forward to. With that said, it’s usually the Target Führer pre-order missions that get the most buzz, and we all know there’s a good reason for that. The Landing Force DLC for Sniper Elite 5 marks the first in what’ll hopefully be plenty of content in Season One.

New content for elite snipers

The biggest inclusion in this DLC is the new Landing Force mission. It’s set on an island that houses massive Nazi artillery. In typical Sniper Elite fashion, players will need to explore the island and find a way to disable the gun battery. Additionally, the island itself looks to be pretty big. From what the trailer shows, there will be plenty of areas to sneak through. All in all, the island seems to be an interesting location to kick off Sniper Elite 5‘s Season One content.

Beyond that, players will also get to add two new weapons to their inventory. Firstly, we’ve got the D.L. Carbine Rifle, which sports a massive barrel housing an integral suppressor. Then there’s the PPSH Submachine gun, which comes with a large magazine and a suitably high rate of fire. Whether you’re fighting at a distance or up close, these weapons should serve you well. That’s not all, as a new multiplayer map called Flooded Village is here as well. The layout of the map certainly looks interesting, and the water is cleverly used to segment different areas of the village. The map is free for all players and doesn’t require the season pass.

Landing Force, Sniper Elite 5‘s first piece of Season One DLC, is available on all platforms right now. Again, it’s not a huge bit of content but should whet most players’ appetites before something more substantial releases. It’s included in the season pass for $34.99 USD, or it can be purchased separately for $14.99 USD.
