Steam hits new concurrent user record of over 14 million

Steam has hit a new concurrent user record after hitting a peak of 14,206,607 users this weekend.

With winter now in full flow and the Steam sale now done and dusted, gamers have been hunkering down and getting stuck into their games. DOTA 2 players have at least.

The stat breakdown by games in the past 48 hours is as follows:

642,031951,942Dota 2
220,594675,195Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
69,743116,230Grand Theft Auto V
46,77070,612Team Fortress 2
42,58171,280ARK: Survival Evolved
33,06068,020Garry’s Mod
30,88652,083Sid Meier’s Civilization V
26,67365,190Rocket League

No huge surprise that DOTA 2 is streets ahead followed by GS:GO. GTA V is still pulling some decent numbers though.

The only problem with the numbers is that they show users who are logged into Steam who may not necessarily be playing anything at all. Still, good to see PC gaming is on the up.
