Tears of the Kingdom – Steamed Tomatoes recipe

Before you get ready to make yourself some Steamed Tomatoes, you need to find yourself some tomatoes. They grow in various places throughout Hyrule, but check our guide on where to get Hylian Tomatoes if you are interested in finding a lot of them at once.

Normally, you can throw five Hylian Tomatoes in a pot and produce Simmered Tomatoes, which restore a lot of hearts and sell for 36 rupees per dish. To make Steamed Tomatoes, you must combine Hylian Tomatoes with a separate ingredient such as Hyrule Herb.

Where to find Hyrule Herb

If you’re having trouble finding Hyrule Herb, look for it in the same area where we recommend farming tomatoes. It grows primarily in the forest on the eastern side of Batrea Lake.

Mix a single Hylian Tomato with a Hyrule Herb to produce a Steamed Tomatoes dish. This basic version of the recipe will restore four hearts. You can also add as many as three additional tomatoes to improve the effect so it restores more hearts, if desired.

If you wish, you can combine Hylian Tomato with some other plant ingredients. You’ll still produce Steamed Tomatoes, except possibly with effects besides health restoration. For instance, you can combine a tomato with a Sundelion to make Sunny Steamed Tomatoes, which restore some hearts damaged by gloom and provide a welcome resource if you plan to spend time in the Depths. Mix some Silent Princess with Hylian Tomato to produce Sneaky Steamed Tomatoes and add stealth improvement for a time. In that sense, there are numerous steamed tomatoes recipes to try.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
