Today Sony will launch ‘The Canyon’, the latest freely downloadable multiplayer map for Killzone Shadow Fall. Developers posted this about the map – “Situated deep within one of the Petrusite fissures scarring planet Helghan, The Canyon is all that remains of the once-stately palatial quarters in the city of Pyrrhus. Held in place by struts and bridges, this precariously balanced range of rock and crumbling infrastructure now serves a new purpose for the Helghast. Enormous mechanical pumps pierce the cityscape, syphoning the Petrusite that seeps up from the fissure to the surrounding mining spires”.
It has been announced that DLC for Titanfall is due this month and it will include three brand new maps for players to wage war upon each other. The map pack includes War Games, Swampland, and Runoff and will cost $9.99 as a stand alone buy or free if you purchased the $24.99 Season Pass.
Respawn have revealed some new screenshots of each map to give you a taster of what sort of terrain you’ll be fighting upon. In other Titanfall news, Respawn have revealed that an update for the Xbox 360 version of the game is now live. The studio said: “The patch can take up to 4 hours to roll out on the servers, so it will take longer for some 360 users to get the update.”
Naughty Dog has unveiled its latest and most likely last piece of DLC for The Last of Us. There are several bits of DLC and you can purchase them as a bundle if you are a Season Pass owner. The DLC focuses mainly on the multiplayer side of The Last of Us but there is a little treat for single player fans.
The first piece of DLC is called Grounded and is for single player only. The DLC will add a new difficulty setting to the campaign which will make the game even harder than the hardest difficulty setting currently available. Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli described Grounded as: “The AI is relentless, smart, and brutal, and survival will be near impossible. ‘Completed Grounded Mode’ might be one of the most difficult Trophies you’ll ever earn.” It will cost $4.99.
