The next Fable has been announced

Return of the literal king!

We’ve been hearing rumors of a new Fable game since the Xbox One days, however, fans can finally rejoice: The next Fable game has been announced. Back in 2020, we saw a glimpse of the newest Fable game, but not much. Ever since then, Playground Games has been rather silent about the progress of the game.

We don’t have much from the announcement of Fable apart from a great-looking CGI trailer, so expect more information during the summer. Judging from the trailer, the tone of the game seems to be light-hearted, much like the older games, so expect tons of hours of entertainment. Sadly, we don’t have a release date, but again, we may expect one sooner than later.

Since the game is an Xbox and Microsoft exclusive, you’ll be happy to know it will drop on Xbox’s subscription service day one. That’s right, it’ll appear on Game Pass, so you won’t have to shell out the full price.

Fable: It’s been a long time coming

Thankfully we got an announcement for Fable at today’s Xbox conference. The series has gone through some interesting times since Fable 4. From attempts to have a spin-off, to having a multiplayer-focused game, and finally trying out the kickstarting avenue, things seemed dire for the series. With Fable being announced, hopefully, this will bring new life and motivation to an otherwise dry Xbox season.

Since Microsoft is pushing next-gen gaming, don’t expect the game to drop on the older Xbox One consoles. However, it may appear on the company’s cloud program.

As mentioned, we have no release date or window, but expect the game to launch on Microsoft’s ecosystem. Meaning, not only will appear on the Xbox Series X/S but also on PC.
