Call of Duty: Warzone Season Four is coming to an end and players are looking towards the next season. Despite this, Raven Software rolled out the previously leaked CX-9 submachine gun. It’s already proving to be a hit among fans and it is a strong contender in Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island. There’s also now a small weapon tuning patch involving the CX-9 and Krig 6 in Call of Duty: Warzone.
As the patch is small, Raven Software simply explained it on Twitter as opposed to the lengthy blog posts for larger updates. Beginning with the Krig 6, the lower torso multiplier received a slight nerf from 1.1 to 1. Also, the maximum damage range has been decreased from 1500 to 1400.
On the other hand, the CX-9 has received a buff that should make it more versatile. The mid damage range has been increased from 20 to 21. Moreover, the headshot multiplier has been increased from 1.4 to 1.45. The CX-9 submachine gun is already strong at medium range with the correct attachments. The higher headshot multiplier will allow you to shred through enemies even more.
Could another Warzone weapon tuning patch be on the way?
Given that the Krig 6 has been more popular in recent times, the nerf may reduce its popularity once again. It’s likely that we will see the C58 continue to improve in popularity and dominate the assault rifle weapon class in the battle royale. Although the Krig 6 nerf is relatively small, you may notice the decreased damage range when engaged in long range gunfights.
Raven Software does not shy away from making changes to a multitude of weapons across every category. It will be interesting to see if even more weapon tuning will take place with the Warzone Season Five update. We will not have to wait long to find out, as the Season Five action begins on August 12.
