It’s almost time for E3, and you know what that means. Correct! It’s time for some game leaks. We already covered the release date for The Surge 2 getting leaked earlier. But now it’s Ubisoft’s turn. The next Watch Dogs game has been leaked on Amazon’s UK site. The game will be called Watch Dogs Legion, and it comes with an interesting premise: you can play as any NPC character in the game.
The leak came via Amazon UK and was picked up by Kotaku via ResetEra. According to the leak, the game is set in London. Every character in the world comes with a “a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems.”
Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems
Information regarding the game was leaked onto the internet not too long ago. Back then, they were merely rumors. But now, it’s clear that at least some of the information rings true. The leaks stated that Watch Dogs 3, now Watch Dogs Legion, will be set in London. That looks to be confirmed, according to the posting on Amazon UK.
“Watch_Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London,” reads the Amazon UK listing. “It’s a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes. London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture for centuries… London makes total sense for WD, as the city has one of the highest surveillce levels in the world making this the perfect playground.”
Additionally, the prior leaks offered more information on Watch Dogs Legion. The game will star Sarah, who works for the counter-terrorist task force in London. Sarah’s mission is to infiltrate a notorious hacker group in order to discover the identity of its leader. There will be an improved parkour system, and you can use a skateboard to travel around the city. In an interesting twist, however, the leaks also say that there will be no lethal weapons in the game. Instead, you use equipment like a baton and taser.
We are only a week away from Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 2019. More information on Watch Dogs Legion will likely show up then.
