Run like the wind.

Swift Carrots are a handy ingredient to collect in Tears of the Kingdom. When cooked into a dish, they can increase Link’s movement speed considerably. This makes trekking across Hyrule and its Depths a lot easier and less time-consuming. It’ll also help you outrun groups of enemies that you aren’t quite ready to take on just yet. If you want to stock up on Swift Carrots, here are the best places to look in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find Swift Carrots

Swift Carrots can be found sporadically throughout Hyrule. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a location that would grant you a lot of them in quick succession. Some ingredients like Golden Apples have locations where they grow in abundance. And other ingredients are better off being bought from Hyrule’s general stores. Thankfully, there are two stores that have a good supply of Swift Carrots in Tears of the Kingdom.

The Kakariko Village General Store sells over 10 Swift Carrots for 16 Rupees each. This makes Swift Carrots one of the most abundantly available ingredients in the game. The trade-off is that they don’t restore many hearts, but you’re using these mainly for the speed boost anyway so it’s not a big deal. Hateno Village’s General Store also sells Swift Carrots and taking a trip to both of these locations can easily get you over 20 Swift Carrots.

Swift Carrots can also be bought by traveling merchants like Beedle, so they really are quite a common thing. And once you’ve got enough you can start cranking out plenty of speed-boosting meals. I can personally attest to the usefulness of this buff since it’s gotten me out of trouble plenty of times. Plus it’s just cool to see Link sprinting across fields at nearly twice his usual speed.
