With the launch of Fortnite Season 6, some new weapons were introduced into the game. Included are various crossbows, the return of the pump shotgun, and more. To make this more interesting, a new crafting system also made a debut, allowing players to improve their weapons. However, fans have not seen much in terms of new exotic weapons being added into the rotation. Now, an new exotic weapon has finally launched in Fortnite, and it is known as the Grappler Bow.
Other bows in Fortnite Season 6 can be found in chests or as floor loot. This is not the case for the Grappler Bow. In addition, you are unable to upgrade this bow to make it more powerful. To get your hands on the Grappler Bow, you will have to visit Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft. This NPC can be found inside the Stealthy Stronghold point of interest. Once you speak to her, you will be given the option to purchase the Grappler Bow for 500 gold bars.
Making use of the Grappler Bow exotic weapon
Once you have acquired the exotic weapon, all you will need is regular bow ammo to use it. As the name suggests, the Grappler Bow will allow you to grapple around the map. All you have to do is aim and shoot at a surface and you will be sent flying towards that area. This can prove helpful in a variety of situations. For instance, you can use it to escape from the Storm, gain a mobility or height advantage in a gunfight, and more. As always, when your match is over, you will have to go and repurchase it if you want access to the weapon again.
The Grappler Bow is the first exotic weapon to be added into Fortnite Season 6. As this season progresses, it will be interesting to see if more new exotic weapons get added into the rotation or if some favorites return.
