In Octopath Traveler 2, players can complete a variety of side stories. Those looking to make the most out of the game and see as much of its world as possible will want to complete all of them. This is our guide on how to complete the ‘Wanted: A Good Joke’ side story in Octopath Traveler 2.

Steps to complete Wanted: A Good Joke in Octopath Traveler 2
You can begin Wanted: A Good Joke by speaking to Joe who will be standing just right of the weapon shop in Oresrush. If he isn’t there, it’s possible that you hired him during Partitio’s first chapter. If so, you can release Joe by pressing ‘Space’ on keyboard or ‘X/square’ on a controller and then selecting “Part Ways.”
Speaking to Joe will reveal that the 23-year-old man has fallen for a girl but is having a hard time getting her to laugh. She’s not impressed by his jokes, but Joe believes that his friend’s excellent sense of humor could win her over. The only problem is that he’s too embarrassed to ask them himself, so it’s up to you.

To complete Wanted: A Good Joke in Octopath Traveler 2 you need to ask three of Joe’s friends for their best joke. To do so, walk up to them and use either Castti’s Enquire or Osvald’s Scrutinize Path Action on each of them. The three friends can be found in the following locations:
- Ned: Next to the left table in Orerush’s tavern.
- Harry: Next to the back left stairs in Orerush that lead up to the second floor.
- Nikki: Up the stairs that Harry was standing next to.
Enquiring or Scrutinizing all of Joe’s friends will let you know all of their best jokes. With the jokes learned, go back to Joe next to the weapon shop in Oresrush and speak to him. Tell him about the jokes and then a cutscene will play where he tells the Composed Woman he likes his own version of those jokes. After the cutscene ends, you’ll have completed Wanted: A Good Joke in Octopath Traveler 2. The reward for completing this side story is 3,500 Leaves and x1 Invigorating Nut (M).
