Dota 2‘s latest mega-patch – which I affectionately call the Frostiwraithnilegicomma patch – has gone live. At least, I think it has. My Dota 2 client is downloading 500MB of something, and I’m going to assume it’s not just hats.

The Frostiwraithnilegicomma patch is less sexily known as the 6.79c patch, by the way, but I call it the Frostiwraithnilegicomma patch because it adds the Frostivus chests and items, the Wraith-Night mode, the Legion Commander hero, the Ranked Matchmaking mode, and a tonne of other stuff. You can have a gander at this story to see a brief round-up of what’s included, or wander over to the official Wraith-Night page to see the full changelog and notes.

And now – if you’ll excuse me – I’m going to go take a look at it for myself.

When not writing about games, Tim can occasionally be found speedrunning terrible ones, making people angry in Dota 2, or playing something obscure and random. He's also weirdly proud of his status as (probably) the Isle of Man's only professional games journalist.
