Stasis is one of the most unique elements in Destiny 2 and our first taste of abilities forged in Darkness. While it’s Strand’s time in the spotlight, don’t let that stop you from trying its crystalline counterpart. Here are the best Stasis Fragments in Destiny 2, ranked.

Each class benefits from different Fragments, so let’s look at them individually, starting with our beloved crayon-munchers.
Best Stasis Fragments for Titan in Destiny 2
- Whisper of Shards – Shattering a Stasis crystal briefly boosts your grenade recharge rate
- Whisper of Torment – You gain grenade energy each time you take damage from targets.
- Whiper of Chains – You take reduced damage when near frozen targets or a Stasis crystal.
- Whisper of Rime – Collecting a Stasis shard grants a small amount of overshield, which falls off after 10 seconds. Collecting additional shards adds to the overshield and refreshes the timer.
- Whisper of Bonds – Defeating frozen targets generates an Orb of Power
Stasis Titans have access to Glacier Grenades, which define the class. Putting a wall up wherever you please is a superb ability, with offensive and defensive applications. Whisper of Shards and Whisper of Torment enable a Grenade-focused playstyle. Combine these Fragments with a high Discipline stat, and throwables will always be ready when needed.
We can use Fragments to boost our survivability as a Titan. If possible, I recommend a high Resilience stat, as this is easily obtainable from armor mods. Whisper of Chains and Whisper of Rime are our best defensive options as a Stasis wielder. If you can weave grenades into your general gameplay loop, you’ll reap the benefits of these fragments much more often.
Finally, Whisper of Bonds grants more Orbs of Power, enabling your Fireteam’s Super abilities more often.
Best Stasis Fragments for Warlock in Destiny 2
- Whisper of Shards – Shattering a Stasis crystal briefly boosts your grenade recharge rate.
- Whisper of Refraction – Defeating slowed, or frozen targets grants you class ability energy.
- Whisper of Fissures – Increases the damage and size of the burst of Stasis when you destroy a Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.
- Whisper of Chains – When near frozen targets or a Stasis crystal, you take reduced damage
- Whisper of Bonds – Defeating frozen targets generates an Orb of Power.
One of the easiest ways to get value from Stasis as a Warlock is with the Osmiomancy Gloves. These Exotics give you an additional Coldsnap Grenade charge and pair well with Whisper of Shards. Warlocks are resilient regardless of their element, but Whisper of Chains offers welcome damage reduction.
Whisper of Refraction and Whisper of Bonds are great Fragments to restore our Super energy. If you’re looking for damage-focused alternatives, you can swap a Fragment for Whisper of Fissures to amp up Stasis damage.

Duskfield Grenades are arguably the most valuable part of a Stasis Hunters kit, allowing us to slow enemies to a crawl, keeping them at a safe distance. Whisper of Shards is once again front and center of our Fragment choices, as it enables Grenade spam. I recommend the Renewal Grasps for your exotic armor slot, as they make Duskfield Grenades even stronger.
Although we want to avoid damage wherever possible, Whisper of Torment gives us grenade energy when we get hit. We can often reduce damage taken with Whisper of Chains as this Fragment protects us if we’re near Stasis Crystals.
Whisper of Rime is a fantastic survivability Fragment as it grants an Overshield. This shield is pretty weak in PvP but should keep you alive in PvE content. Finally, I recommend Whisper of Bonds if you have a spare slot, as Power Orbs benefit the whole fire team.
