Cyberpunk 2077 Best Arms Guide

Cyberpunk 2077: Best Arms Cyberware

You could use a hand.

Cyberpunk 2077 lets you choose from a range of Cyberware to spec out your version of V. And with the arrival of the 2.0 update, the choices you have mean so much more. Now, one of the categories of Cyberware that is arguably the most well-known is Arms. This is where you’ll find the Mantis Blades, the Gorilla Arms, the Projectile Launch System, and the Monowire. All of these options are very good depending on your build. But let’s figure out which of these arms are the best in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077: The best Cyberware for Arms

For starters, let’s talk about how the 2.0 update changed Arms a little bit in Cyberpunk 2077. Before, you’d just pick the Cyberware you wanted and apply a modifier to it later. For example, a certain mod for the Mantis Blades could make them deal electric damage. Now, that choice is made at the Ripperdoc and you have to actually select the type of Arms Cyberware you want. This opens up the amount of choice you’ve got by a lot but the core mechanics of each option will largely be unaffected by your choice.

#4 The Mantis Blades

Personally, I’m a massive fan of the Mantis Blades arms in Cyberpunk 2077. However, they don’t offer as much power and utility as other options in this category. They work just like any other bladed weapon, with the added bonus of letting you leap at targets. But this just isn’t very useful most of the time. This is especially true when you consider the mobility V has now with the new dashing perks. Plus they’re outclassed by a solid standard blade. So they aren’t the best choice to go for if you want optimization. On the bright side, they utilise Blade perks just like any other bladed weapon.

#3 Projectile Launch System

This Cyberware is undoubtedly a good pick if it’s your style. But these arms essentially do the same job that a grenade does. The damage isn’t even that much better than most grenades you can find in the world, especially when your V is high-level. It’s a little better than the Mantis Blades since the job it does is a bit more interesting. But again, the Projectile Launch System just doesn’t do something that feels particularly useful.

#2 Gorilla Arms

Gorilla Arms are tied for the number-one spot in Cyberpunk 2077 in all honesty. For starters, they do a lot of damage against most targets. Plus they count as Blunt weapons, meaning you can use all of those great Blunt perks with your new fists. These arms are also really cool since they allow you to actually use a brawler playstyle that’s very effective. It gives you something unique that the previous options don’t. Then when you factor in V’s enhanced mobility now, it’s hard not to have fun with the Gorilla Arms.

#1 Monowire

Monowire

Putting the Monowire at the top spot might be a controversial take but I stand by it. The Monowire excels at dealing with multiple enemies at once with its wide-sweeping attacks. And if you combine this with a Sandevistan and the right timing, you can absolutely demolish a group of enemies. You also get the added bonus of range here which lets you keep a wide berth from tougher enemies. Also, with 2.0, there are now perks that make the Monowire even better than it was before. It’s always been a mainstay for my character in Cyberpunk 2077, and that’s not likely to change.

That’s the basic rundown of the best Arms Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077. Luckily none of them are necessarily bad and can slot into any playstyle you desire. But if you’re a beginner to the game, stick with either the Gorilla Arms or the Monowire for the best results.
