Dragon’s Dogma 2 The Regentkin’s Resolve: How to convince Disa and the merchant

Are you hungry for a knuckle sandwich?

The Regentkin’s Resolve is an endgame quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that requires you to convince the rich merchant and Disa to evacuate Vernworth as a prerequisite to getting Sven to evacuate the city and its people.

After talking with Sven, he says he won’t evacuate all of Vernworth until he gets oxcarts which a rich merchant is hoarding, and talks to his mother. I talked with both of them, hit a dead end, and wondered how to continue. Luckily, I finished the quest to help you through it. You need to use a light amount of violence, just like when you need to throw your Pawn.

  • Dragon's Dogma 2 The Regentkin's Resolve Carry Disa
  • Dragon's Dogma 2 The Regentkin's Resolve Deliver Disa To Sven

Disa, Sven’s mother, is in a few rooms over. Talking to her doesn’t do anything — what you need to do is carry her to Sven’s room. Luckily, none of the guards mind you doing this.

Halfway through carrying her to Sven’s room, you may need to set her down as she fights back. Simply set her down to reset your carrying stamina and pick her back up again. Drop her off in Sven’s room and she and Sven will talk things out. Now, onto the merchant.

  • Dragon's Dogma 2 The Regentkin's Resolve Tackle The Merchant
  • Dragon's Dogma 2 The Regentkin's Resolve Get The Oxcarts

The way you take care of Disa is the same way you take care of the merchant — press grab next to him. Instead of picking him up, you’ll automatically tackle him to the ground and stay on top of him. After his dialogue, jump off the merchant and he’ll run away.

Once the rich merchant is dealt with, talk to the oxcart owner standing nearby to ensure the oxcarts are available to the people of Vernworth. To finish the quest, go back to Sven and tell him the oxcarts are ready. This finishes the quest — now, you can attempt to complete The Ailing Arborheart quest.
