Early access release date set for an immersive, microphone-required horror indie game “Don’t Scream”

Wonder if I can mute myself.

I don’t like scary movies, but I love scary games. That’s why I can’t wait for Don’t Scream, which is dropping on October 27 in Early Access. Not much is known about it so far, but if they trailer below is any indication, players are in for a terrifying time.

Your secret weapon is silence

You’re alone in the forest. All you need to do is walk around for a measly 18 minutes. But, you can’t make any noise and that time only moves when you move.

This Unreal 5 experience tracks your voice, so you’re going to need a microphone to play. If you scream, game over. If this isn’t your cup of tea, here are some tame horror games that you can try out.

It seems like every 18-minute loop is different. You, your friends, and your favorite streamer will all have a different experience. This means certain jump scares or events might not transpire in their gameplay as they did for yours.
