Fortnite Korra release date, battle pass challenges, and cosmetics

Here's how to unlock Korra in Fortnite.

Korra is joining Fortnite as the bonus skin of the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass, so there are plenty of Avatar-themed cosmetics for players to unlock in the new Myths and Mortals season.

Just like previous bonus skins, however, Korra isn’t available right from the beginning of the season. While you can unlock Greek gods like Artemis, Zeus, and Poseidon just by leveling up the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass, you won’t be able to get Korra until much later in the season. Once she does become available, though, she’ll be super easy to unlock because there won’t be a level requirement or anything like that.

When Does Korra Release in Fortnite?

Korra and her quests will be released on Tuesday, April 2. This is a little over three weeks after the beginning of Chapter 5 Season 2. Once the game updates on April 2, the Korra section of the Battle Pass will be filled with two pages of cosmetics that you can earn by completing challenges.

Unlike the Greek gods featured in the main section of the Battle Pass, you can unlock Korra and the other Avatar cosmetics immediately after purchasing the Battle Pass. The challenges are usually super easy for these types of cosmetics, too.

All Forntite Korra Challenges and Rewards

The Korra quests haven’t been revealed by Epic Games just yet, but they’ll likely be datamined ahead of release as April 2 draws nearer. Since there are two pages of rewards for the Korra section of the Battle Pass, it’s safe to assume that there will be an alternate edit style for the Korra skin in addition to a glider, harvesting tool, and other minor cosmetics like sprays and weapon wraps.

Waterbending and other Avatar powers are coming to Fortnite later in Chapter 5 Season 2 as well, and there’s a good chance that the Korra quests will make use of these. Just like Solid Snake’s challenges from Chapter 5 Season 1 required players to utilize the Cardboard Box and EMP Stealth Camo to unlock Metal Gear Solid cosmetics, Korra’s quests will require players to eliminate players with Waterbending and other Avatar abilities once they become available.

Don’t forget that a collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender is also planned for Chapter 5 Season 2, so there will be new Mythics and gameplay features to enjoy when Korra becomes available next month. That collab will come with its own Event Pass too. The premium reward track will feature an Aang skin, but you’ll be able to unlock rewards like the Aapa glider for free if you don’t want to spend any V-Bucks.

We’ll update this guide once more information about the Korra quests and cosmetics becomes available. In the meantime, there’s a lot of new content to experience in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 to hold you over.
