Fortnite Rideable Animals Leak

Fortnite Season 8 is well underway, containing some notable new features. Players have been able to interact with new NPCs, fight monsters in The Sideways, and more. However, Season 8 still has a familiar feel to it overall. The cubes have returned from previous seasons, while various forms of wildlife still roam around. However, according to a new Fortnite leak, animals are set to change, by becoming rideable. Already, Fortnite has a plethora of animals you can hunt, including dinosaurs, boars, wolves, and more. Apparently, rideable animals could be making their way into Fortnite in the near future.

Details of rideable animals were shared by HYPEX on their Twitter page. To begin riding an animal, you will need a saddle item to ride them. It is unknown if you will be able to find these in chests, or if you are required to craft a saddle. While riding an animal, it’s expected that you will be restricted in some way. HYPEX says that you will be unable to search, aim, shoot, build, or carry a player at the same time. If you are roaming around on an aggressive animal, you’ll supposedly be able to make them attack players, which is one way to engage in combat. In addition, bots are able to ride animals too.

Would you like to see rideable animals in Fortnite?

As always, leaks around rideable animals in Fortnite should be taken with a pinch of salt. Without any confirmation from developer Epic Games, we can not say for certain what is being planned. With that being said, this would definitely be a fun way to travel around the island. Certainly, it would be unique from other forms of travel, such as traditional vehicles. Perhaps, this could pave the way for new animals to also make themselves at home on the island.
