Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 gets cinematic and Battle Pass trailer

Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass

Today’s the day: Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is here, along with the Season 5 finale quest. Early this morning, Fortnite debuted a Season 6 cinematic to prepare players for the mission. For those who want to watch the story unfold before playing through the finale, there’s also separate Zero Crisis Finale short available. Finally, Fortnite dropped an epic Season 6 Battle Pass trailer. There’s plenty for players to see before diving into the new season.

Epic Games announced one week ago that Fortnite Season 5 would come to an end on March 16. Unlike the massive Season 4 Galactus live finale, this one is a bit more low-key, with a single player solo mission for players to access any time they log in today. The Zero Point has become unstable, and Agent Jones needs your help to control it. Epic teased that the Zero Crisis Finale would be enough to shift reality.

The story cinematic sees Agent Jones approaching the Zero Point as it’s about to implode. Determined to take out the dangerous hole in reality before it destroys everything, Agent Jones sets out to get help from The Seven, the cosmic organization first mentioned way back in Chapter 1 Season 3. The cinematic features appearances from characters of all different franchises engaged in a chaotic battle. There’s Alien‘s Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley, Street Fighter‘s Ryu, and Halo‘s Master Chief, all of whom were brought into the crossover-filled Season 5.

Check out the full Season 6 cinematic below and then dive into Fortnite to play the Zero Crisis Finale. Or, you can check out the Finale video here, but beware of spoilers.

Fornite Chapter 2 Season 6 gets Primal with new Battle Pass

Season 6, called Primal, becomes available after players complete the Season 5 finale. A new season means a new Battle Pass, and it looks like there’s plenty in store. The Battle Pass trailer features even more crossover skins with characters like Teen Titan‘s Raven, Tomb Raider‘s Lara Croft, and more. Epic teased that Season 6 is all about survival, so players will have to defend their territory, hunt for food, and craft new weapons. Go wild with the Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass, which will run until June 7.
