Hades Launch

Xbox Game Pass on PC getting Hades, Curse of the Dead Gods this August

Not gonna Pass on some of these.

It’s time for another fall down the Xbox Game Pass for PC rabbit hole, as even more games come to the service’s PC incarnation this August. A great many games are coming on August 5, with seven major titles arriving on that day alone. The shining star of the month is Hades, which isn’t coming to the service until August 13. The game was widely acclaimed upon release, and is a truly engrossing rogue-lite that plenty of people will likely end up falling in love with now that they can sink hours into it at no extra cost.

As for what’s coming on August 5, the rogue-lite Curse of the Dead Gods will scratch many of the same itches, although it’s generally tougher and not as well-loved. Dodgeball Academia, a new game from Humble about dodgeball battles at a school is releasing tomorrow, but Xbox Game Pass is offering it at launch. Fans of rolling up cities will find a lot to like about Katamari Damacy Reroll, which is the remaster of the first game in that strange franchise. I’ve always been rather partial to the series, so I’m happy that it’s going to be weirding some people out this week.

Hades and more comes to Xbox Game Pass for PC this August

Other titles coming on August 5 include Lumines Remastered, a puzzle game from years back, plus the Early Access version of the space building game Starmancer. On August 12, Art of Rally, a highly stylized rally racing title, will be available. Finally, in a less than exciting reveal, Microsoft Solitaire Collection is coming on August 17. I love me some solitaire, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over that one. On the Cloud front, Skate 3 will be available for everyone as well, but that functionality is still in beta. This is certainly another good month for Xbox Game Pass, and I’m sure the hits will keep on coming for subscribers. You can see all the details here.
