Genshin Impact: Fischl guide — Weapons, artifacts, talents

Thunderbird power!

Fischl blasts her enemies in Genshin Impact with her bows and the raven Oz. She tends to be one of the best characters in the game as well. Here’s our mini-guide to help you with her weapons, artifacts, and talents.

Genshin Impact guide: Fischl’s weapons, artifacts, and talents

Fischl’s Weapon: Rust/Slingshot (DPS) or The Stringless (Support)

Source: Rust/The Stringless – Wish microtransactions/gacha; Slingshot – random drops

Fischl excels as either a pure DPS fighter or one that’s used for support if you need to trigger elemental reactions. How you build her depends on the characters you’ve obtained in Genshin Impact.

Fischl makes Rust a good option if you’re peppering foes with arrows, and Slingshot functions as a decent 3-star alternative as well. Conversely, The Stringless becomes the best weapon for her if she’s a support character. The increased elemental skill and elemental burst damage help boost your Electro abilities.

Artifact set: Thundering Fury

Because of how often you’ll be using Oz, dealing and triggering Electro-based damage is a given. Alternatively, if you’re primarily focused on building Fischl as a pure DPS character, then you might want to use the Gladiator’s Finale and another artifact set that adds +18% ATK for its two-piece bonus.

Talents priority: Nightrider -> Normal Attack (Bolts of Downfall) -> Midnight Phantasmagoria

I prioritized Nightrider for Fischl since I want near-constant uptime with Oz (either as an elemental skill cast or after refreshing via Midnight Phantasmagoria). As such, increasing Oz’s damage certainly aids your team’s DPS even when Fischl is switched out temporarily.

Regarding her Constellations, “Gaze of the Deep” (Constellation #1), provides that extra DPS already. Fischl’s attacks proc a free blast from Oz even if the raven isn’t summoned yet.

Note 1: Get “Ballad” items from the Forsaken Rift domain every Wednesday and Saturday for Fischl’s talent leveling material.

Note 2: If you haven’t obtained Fischl before, or a duplicate gacha pull for the Constellation, then you’ll have another shot. Just wait for the “Unreconciled Stars” event once version 1.1 launches.

Ascension Materials

  • Arrowheads – Dropped by ranged hilichurls; higher-tier versions can be crafted by an alchemist NPC.
  • Vajrada Amethyst – Dropped by Electro Hypostasis; purchased from Souvenir Shop; higher-tier versions can be crafted by an alchemist NPC.
  • Lightning Prism – Dropped by Electro Hypostasis.
  • Small Lamp Grass – Tends to be scattered around the Mondstadt region of Genshin Impact. Remember that Fischl shares this Ascension material with Diluc, so farm lots of these if you have them both. Read our Small Lamp Grass farming mini-guide to learn more about the locations.
