Harry Potter and Batman games were reportedly to be unveiled at E3

Flipendo!

With the cancellation of E3 this year, we may miss out on a lot of reveals and announcements, and apparently that list included Harry Potter and Batman games. Of course, we can probably expect those announcements still to happen in a different fashion. Several companies have already confirmed they are looking into digital events to replace the usual press conferences.

However, according to Kotaku news editor Jason Schreier, E3 2020 could’ve seen a press conference from Warner Bros. Games. There, they were apparently planning to unveil the aforementioned Harry Potter and Batman games, as well as whatever Rocksteady has been working on.

Was the leaked Harry Potter finally to be revealed?

At this point, it’s been years since we first and last heard of that leaked Harry Potter game. What looked like an RPG – with character customization and everything – quickly made its way around the internet, with fans hoping an announcement would come soon. But as more events came and went, hope began to wane. A (potentially open world) RPG to take on the role of a Hogwarts student is a dream for any Harry Potter fan, especially considering the games that came out alongside the movies were not exactly mindblowing.

As such, this leaked game made many a heart race at just the thought. What was this mysterious Harry Potter game, and when would we see it? Well, it looks like this year was when we would finally have found out. With E3 canceled, however, we’re now left unsure as to what Warner Bros. will do with this intended reveal.

Batman and Rocksteady

Additionally, Warner Bros. supposedly planned to reveal the next Batman game at E3 2020. Rocksteady was also finally going to announce what they’ve been working on for the last five years. Batman Arkham Knight released half a decade ago, so it stands to reason that fans were eager to learn what was next from the studio, as well as the franchise.

But the coronavirus is now throwing a spanner in those works. As such, we’ll have to wait and see what happens to Warner Bros.’ announcements. Whatever they’ll do and whenever they’ll do it, though, it’s certain to cause some buzz across several fandoms.
